Alan Corbett

As Alan Corbett, Alvis Sherouse hosted a weekday program, The Open Road on Miami, Florida's classical radio station, WTMI.

An article in the June 8, 1986, issue of the Orlando Sentinel described how Sherouse would inject comedy into his program. "One year, Sherouse probed the sobering subject raised by everyone's birthday - growing old. No, he didn`t play Richard Strauss' Four Last Songs. Instead, listeners heard a senior citizens choir singing rock composer Harry Nilsson's "I'd Rather Be Dead" (Than Wet My Bed)."
