In February of 1968, the Beatles formed Apple Corps Ltd. which consisted of Apple Electronics, Apple Films Ltd., Apple Management, Apple Music Publishing, Apple Overseas, Apple Publicity, Apple Records, Apple Retail, Apple Tailoring Civil and Theatrical, Apple Television, and Apple Wholesale.

Neil Aspinall, who was formerly the Beatles road manager, became the managing director of Apple. Derek Taylor was the Apple publicist.
