Aram Khachaturian

Aram Ilich Khachaturian was born June 6, 1903, near Tiflis, Georgia. He died on May 1, 1978, in Moscow, Russia.

Khachaturian attended the Gnesin School and the Moscow Conservatory and was one of the most successful composers of the Soviet period. He created works for ballets, orchestra, bands, film, and theater, as well as composed popular songs.
