| Arif Mardin, was born in 1932 in Istanbul. A chance meeting with Dizzy Gillespie and Quincy Jones in 1956 led to Mardin's decision to attend the Berklee School Of Music. After graduating from Berklee, Mardin was hired by Atlantic Records in 1963.
Mardin began producing pop music in 1965. Over the next 30 years, he produced hits for a number of artists including Phil Collins, Average White Band, Aretha Franklin, the Bee Gees, Dusty Springfield, and Bette Midler. Visitor Comments:Connections:Arif Mardin ... |
