Dallas Bartley

Bartley was born in 1916 in Cave Springs, Missouri. As a child, Bartley learned to play violin, guitar, piano, and string bass. After high school, Bartley moved to Chicago, Illinois.

In 1940, Bartley joined Louis Jordan's Tympany Five. He co-wrote ^"Early In The Morning^" which was recorded by Jordan.

In 1943, Bartley's left the Tympany Five and formed his own group, the Small Town Boys.

Bartley died in 1979 at the age of 63.
