| David Stewart was born on September 9, 1952, in Sunderland, Tyne And Wear, England.
In the early 1970s, Stewart met Annie Lennox. In 1977, they formed the Catch with Peter Coombes. The Catch bcame the Tourists who had a hit with their cover version of Dusty Springfield's "I Only Want To Be With You."
When the Tourists broke up in 1980, Stewart and Lennox formed Eurythmics.
Eurythmics topped the charts with hits like "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)."
Stewart is also well-known as a successful producer. He produced Aretha Franklin's comeback album Who's Zoomin' Who?. He's also produced albums by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Mick Jagger, Bob Dylan, and others. Visitor Comments:Connections:David Stewart ... |
