Dennis Franz

Dennis Franz Schlacta was born on October 28, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois.

After graduating from Southern Illinois University, Franz was drafted and served in Vietnam for almost a year. When he returned to the states in 1972, he joined the Organic Theatre Company.

Franz is best known for his roles in "Hill Street Blues" and "NYPD Blue."
