After finishing high school in 1962, Usher lived near the home of Brian Wilson. The two became friends and wrote a few songs together. These songs included "409" and "In My Room."
Usher's group, Gary Usher and the Super Stocks recorded "Readin' Ridin' And Racin'" which was written by Harry Nilsson and Sebastian Stores.
