| Soul artist Gloria Jones recorded several of her own albums and appears on albums by a number of other artists including Harry Nilsson, Little Feat, Joe Cocker,
T. Rex, and Jerry Garcia.
Jones recorded the original version of "Tainted Love" which was a 1982 hit for Soft Cell.
Jones was the girlfriend of Marc Bolan and, in 1974, she joined his group T. Rex. In 1977, shortly after they had a child together Marc Bolan and Gloria Jones were in a car accident.
