Gwen Welles

Gwen Welles was born on March 4, 1951, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She died on October 13, 1993, in Santa Monica, California.

Welles was the daughter of actress Rebecca Welles. Gwen Welles's first film appearance was in Henry Jaglom's A Safe Place. She is best remembered as Suellen Grey, an inept country-western singer, in Robert Altman's Nashville.

Welles died of cancer at the age of 42.
