| Harry Gregson-Williams was born into a musical family. After studying at London's Guild Hall School of Music and Drama, he taught music. Composer Stanley Myers introduced Gregson-Williams to Hans Zimmer who invited Gregson-Williams to work on the film Muppet Treasure Island in Los Angeles.
After collaborating as an arranger and composer with Zimmer and others on several film scores, Gregson-Williams began composing film scores on his own. He's composed music for many films and TV shows including The Borrowers, Antz, Chicken Run, Shrek, Phone Booth, Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, and "Father of the Pride."
