| Harry Shearer has been an actor since he was five years old. As a child he made his film debut in Abbott and Costello Go To Mars
and appeared on TV on "The Jack Benny Show", "GE Theatre", and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents". Shearer played the
role of Eddie Haskell in the pilot episode of "Leave It To Beaver".
Shearer attended the University of California at Los Angeles where he
majored in political science then attended Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Shearer was a writer and performer for "Saturday Night Live". He's made guest appearances on many TV shows. Since 1983, he's hosted his own radio show. And he's appeared in several films. But he is probably best known
for his role in This is Spinal Tap which he also helped write.
Shearer is a member of the cast of "The Simpsons" for which he provides the
voices for many characters including Monty Burns, Waylon Smithers Jr.,
