Herve Villechaize was born on April 23, 1943, in Paris, France. He died on September 4, 1993, in Hollywood, California.
Villechaize moved to the US when he was 21 and had a few small parts in films before landing the role of a villian in The Man with the Golden Gun in 1974. In 1978, he began playing "Tatoo" in the TV series "Fantasy Island."
In 1983, he left the show because of a salary dispute. Sufering from depression, alcoholism, and other health problems, Villechaize took his own life on September 4, 1993. Visitor Comments: |
