James Noble

James Noble was born on March 5, 1922, in Dallas, Texas.

Noble began appearing on TV in the late 1950s and was a regular in soap operas until 1971. Noble appeared in "A World Apart," The Edge of Night," "As the World Turns," and The Brighter Day."

Noble is probably best known for playing "Governor Eugene Xavier Gatling" on the TV series "Benson."

Noble's films include Being There, 10, and 1776.
