Jane Adams

Jane Adams was born on April 1, 1965, in Washington, D.C..

Adams graduated with a degree in drama from Juilliard in 1989. She won a Tony award for her performance in the Broadway play "An Inspector Calls." She also won the Outer Critics Circle Award for her role in "I Hate Hamlet."

Adams may be best-known for playing "Dr. Mel Karnofsky" on the TV series "Frasier."
