Jessica Lange

Jessica Lange was born on April 20, 1949, in Cloquet, Minnesota.

Lange was working as a model when producer Dino De Laurentiis cast her in his 1976 remake of King Kong. The film was panned and Lange didn't appear in another film for three years. In 1979, she appeared in All That Jazz. In 1981, her performance in The Postman Always Rings Twice was well received and her performance in Tootsie the next year won her a "Best Supporting Actress" Oscar. Lange's 1994 performance in Blue Sky won her a "Best Actress" Oscar.
