Lenny Waronker

Lenny Waronker's father worked with Randy Newman's uncle Alfred Newman and Lenny and Randy have been friends since childhood. Waronker became a staff producer at Warner Brothers during the 1960s. His first major work was as a producer for Harpers Bizarre. He then worked with James Taylor, Ry Cooder, Arlo Guthrie, Randy Newman and others.

Waronker became head of A&R at Warner Brothers before leaving to become President of DreamWorks Records.
