Leon Fleischer

Leon Fleisher Recital - Bach/Brahms, Scriabin, Saint-Saens

Fleischer began taking piano lessons when he was four. He gave his first public recital when he was eight. At nine he became the youngest student ever of Arthur Schnabel. At 16, Fleischer appeared with the New York Philharmonic.

After an injury to his right hand, Fleischer began playing left-hand piano pieces. He also began conducting and teaching master piano classes.
