| Linda Eastman was born on September 24, 1941, in New York, New York. She died on April 17, 1998.
After studying art history, Eastman developed an interest in photography. Hired by the Fillmore East, she began photographing rock musicians. Eastman photographed the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, and other 1960s icons.
Eastman met Paul McCartney in a London club. After a short courtship, they married in 1969.
A convert to vegetaranianism, Linda McCartney wrote several bestselling cook books.
