| Melinda Culea was born on May 5, 1955, in Western Springs, Illinois.
In 1975, Culea moved to New York, New York. After four years modelling in New York, she moved to California where she made a few commercials then landed the role of Amy Allen in "The A Team." As her part in the show became less significant, Culea argued with the writers and producers. Her character was written out in the second season of the show.
