| Michael Peter Hayes was born in 1938 in Aldershot, England. He died on May 30, 2003.
Hayes was a member of a 1950s rock group, the Most Brothers. Although the band was not a success, Hayes kept the name Mickie Most.
In the late 1950s, Most moved to his wife's home country, South Africa, and, with his band, Mickie Most and His Playboys, had a string of top hits into the early 1960s with covers of American hit songs.
In the early 1960s, Most moved back to England and produced the Animals's recording of "House of the Rising Sun." He went on to produce recordings by Herman's Hermits, Donovan, Lulu, the Yardbirds, Hot Chocolate, Kim Wilde, and many others. Visitor Comments: |
