| The name of Harry Nilsson's first RCA album, Pandemonium Shadow Show, is from Ray Bradbury's 1962 novel Something Wicked This Way Comes.
Bradbury was born August 22, 1920, in Waukegan, Illinois. His family moved to Los Angeles, California, where, after graduating from high school in 1938, Bradbury sold newspapers on street corners for four years while spending his free time writing short stories. In 1943, he became a full-time writer with the publication of his first book, a collection of his short stories.
Many of his novels are considered classics including The Martian Chronicles, The Illustrated Man, and Fahrenheit 451.
Bradbury has published more than thirty books, about 600 short stories, and poems, essays, and plays.
Bradbury was the creative consultant for the United States Pavilion at the 1964 New York World's Fair and helped design the Spaceship Earth attraction at Walt Disney World's Epcot theme park.
Bradbury lives in Los Angeles with his wife of more than 50 years where he continues to write. Visitor Comments:Links:Connections:Ray Bradbury ... |
