Unchained Melody: Very Best Of The Righteous Brothers
Unchained Melody: Very Best Of The Righteous Brothers
In the early 1960s, Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley were in a group called The Paramours. According to legend, during one of their performances, a black Marine called out "That was righteous, brothers!"

The Righteous Brothers released their first album in 1963. The group's "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" has been cited as the most-played song in the history of American radio.

The Righteous Brothers split in 1968, but reunited in 1974. Their new song, "Rock and Roll Heaven" topped the charts.

After "Unchained Melody" was used in the 1990 film Ghost, the duo recorded a new version, which went platinum and earned a Grammy nomination.
