Robert W. Sarnoff
Robert W. Sarnoff was born on July 2, 1918, in New York, New York. In 1956 he became president of NBC and by 1970 he had succeeded his father, David Sarnoff as the head of RCA.

Robert Sarnoff diversified RCA, buying the publisher Random House, car rental company Hertz and the frozen food company Banquet. During a period of falling profits, Sarnoff was ousted from the company in 1975.

Sarnoff died on February 23, 1997.
