Robin Williams was born on July 21, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois.

Williams attended Juilliard then performed stand-up comedy. Williams starred in the TV series "Mork and Mindy." His film career began with the 1980 feature Popeye.

Williams has received Oscar nominations for many of his performances and won an Academy Award in 1997 for his supporting role in Good Will Hunting.
