Roger Pope

Pope created the band Hookfoot with Caleb Quaye, Dave Glover, and Ian Duck. Hookfoot played on some of Elton John's early recordings.

Hookfoot released a few albums before the band broke up in 1974.

In 1975, Pope joined Elton John's band. He left the group a year later and, with James Newton Howard, Cooker Lo Presti, and Davey Johnstone he formed the group China. Elton John produced the group's eponomous album in 1977.
