| Ruth Buzzi was born on July 24, 1936, in Westerly, Rhode Island.
Buzzi studied acting at the Pasadena Playhouse College of Theatre. In the early 1960s, she appeared on Broadway. In 1965, she joined the cast of a short-lived CBS variety series called "The Entertainers." During the next couple of days she made guest appearances on "That Girl" and the "Steve Allen Comedy Hour." He 1968, she became one of the stars of "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In."
Since then, Buzzi has appeared in many films and TV shows - many aimed at children. She starred in "Far Out Space Nuts" and "The Krofft Supershow" on TV and in the films Freaky Friday and The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again."
