| After getting his start radio as a Marine stationed in the Pacific, Scott Muni replaced Alan Freed as a DJ at WAKR in Akron, Ohio. In the late 1950s, he moved to New York to work for WMCA.
From 1967 to 1998, Muni was heard on WNEW where he helped developed the "progressive rock" radio format.
In addition to being a DJ at WNEW (and later at WAQX), Muni hosted "Ticket to Ride," a nationally syndicated radio show about the Beatles. He also did voice-overs for TV commercials including the famous "How do you spell relief?" spots for Rolaids. Visitor Comments:Connections:Scott Muni ... |
