Zeljko Ivanek was born on August 15, 1957, in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

Ivanek graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art in 1980. Since then he has been nominated for a Tony award twice and has appeared in several films and TV shows. He played "Andre Drazen" in the TV series "24."
