Neil Jordan adapted Patrick McCabe's 1992 novel Breakfast on Pluto into a darkly funny film. The title comes from a 1970s song by Don Partridge. The film's soundtrack features three songs by Harry Nilsson, "Me And My Arrow", "The Moonbeam Song", and "You're Breaking My Heart".
