June 6, 2008 Pete Paphides's "guide to the best albums of all time" looks at Harry Nilsson's Aerial Ballet.
It was a purple patch that lasted for a couple more albums before the 1971 flawed million-seller Nilsson Schmilsson and a subsequent period of hell-raising infamy as Lennon's drinking buddy, so that by the time of his death in 1994, Nilsson's 1960s output was a mere footnote to a brace of covers and a lost weekend with an ex-Beatle.
