^"It's Only a Paper Moon^" was written in 1933 for the play "The Great Magoo" and was originally titled "If You Believed in Me." The title was changed to ^"It's Only a Paper Moon^" when it was sung by June Knight and Charles Rodgers in the 1933 film "Take a Chance."
