Modern vocalists may redefine 'classical' songs

Philadelphia Inquirer
United States
October 12, 2003
David Patrick Stearns's article contains a couple of references to Harry Nilsson. The first is a description of singer/songwriter Rufus Wainwright:
For those who haven't caught up with Wainwright, he's the son of singer/songwriters Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle. He sprang upon the pop scene in 1998 with the face of a teenager, the soul of Laura Nyro, and the voice of Harry Nilsson.
The second reference is near the end of the article in a discussion of cabaret music:
Thank God for Karen Akers, who has long championed that forgotten Nilsson gem, "Maybe".
