United States November 11, 2005 In "My Name is Earl," Earl, after winning the lottery, attempts to set things straight by undoing all the wrongs he committed in his life.
The seventh episode of the TV show "My Name is Earl" used a long portion of Harry Nilsson's recording of "Everybody's Talking" while the character "Earl" rode in a bus. The episode, entitled "Stole Beer From A Golfer," first aired on November 11, 2005.
A couple of verses of Nilsson singing "Joy" are heard in the fifteenth episode of the series as a character (played by guest star Adam Goldberg) recalls watching Earl's ex-wife, Joy, hanging clothes. The episode, "Something To Live For," originally aired on February 2, 2006.
