So welcome to the late great Harry Nilsson and Nilsson Schmilsson (No.3 U.S., No.4 U.K. ’72). This album was a sea change for Nilsson, who had previously been perceived as a sweet-faced choirboy with a subversive streak and had always produced himself. For Nilsson Schmilsson, Harry employed the services of wunderkind producer Richard Perry, whom he met via Phil Spector. The result was a phenomenon!
