The January 8, 2001, episode of the TV sitcom "The King of Queens" entitled "Wedding Presence" ended with a homage to "The Courtship of Eddie's Father" as Arthur (Jerry Stiller) and Spence (Patton Oswalt) run along the beach while Harry Nilsson's performance of "Best Friend" plays.
