This Could Be the Night

In 1964, Harry Nilsson began a short association with famed producer, Phil Spector. The association resulted in three songs: ^"This Could Be the Night^", recorded by the Modern Folk Quartet, and the Ronettes numbers ^"Paradise^" and ^"Here I Sit^". The Modern Folk Quartet's version of ^"This Could Be the Night^" was not released at the time. It can now be heard on the Spector boxed set, Back to Mono.

^"This Could Be the Night^" is a favorite of the Beach Boys's Brian Wilson who recorded it for the For The Love of Harry: Everybody Sings Nilsson album.

During the Papa's Got a Brown New Robe sessions Harry recorded a version of the song with two additional verses.
